We are pleased to announce the launch of our ‘Discover Wakefield’ initiative.
To coincide with Heritage Open Days 2023, we have produced the next four leaflets in our ‘Discover Wakefield’ leaflets.
The leaflets have been designed for us by Vicky Flintoff, one of our Executive Committee members, based on texts supplied by a number of different contributors. They feature a number of new and archive photographs as well as original artwork that we have commissioned from Wakefield design agency Rhubarb Design House.
As with the first batch of four leaflets that we published in 2021, publication of the new leaflets has been supported with funding from Wakefield Council, this time under their Culture Grants scheme.
Use the drop-down menu on this page to find out more about the individual leaflets and also see some additional information not covered in the leaflets. (Note that the pages for the new leaflets will appear here from 8th September 2023.)
Each of the leaflets is available to download from our website. You can also pick up copies from Wakefield Libraries free of charge and we’ll be handing them out at some of our events. If you would like to order a set of leaflets, you can do so via our on-line shop here.
